What we do
We provide an anaesthetic service for patients undergoing surgery and for other areas such as:
- Pre-operative assessment clinic
- Intensive Care Unit
- Obstetric anaesthesia and analgesia
- Anaesthesia for Day Surgery
- Chronic Pain Clinic
- Resuscitation
Our anaesthetic service is the largest single speciality in the hospital. The department trains medical students and postgraduate doctors. We also support training for nurses and paramedical staff.
