We have a specialist respiratory ward, Mary Ward, with 25 beds, one negative pressure room, two single and two double side rooms. There are six non-invasive ventilation (NIV) machines for the care of patients with severe respiratory failure.
We have links with the community Long term conditions team, with early supported discharge for appropriate patients.
We have a pulmonary rehabilitation programme that runs both at the hospital and at several centres in the community.
The lung function laboratory provides a wide range of tests including basic lung function, body plethysmography, home polysomnography / oximetry, bronchoprovocation, hypoxic challenge and cardio-pulmonary exercise testing.
There are separate clinics for patients with lung cancer and for patients with tuberculosis. We have an Endoscopy Unit with weekly diagnostic bronchoscopy sessions.
Our multi-disciplinary team see a range of patients in an outpatient setting, to assess, diagnose and treat, as well as enable patients to manage their long term conditions.
Our consultants see patients with lung cancer, ILD, bronchiectasis, TB and other conditions.
Our respiratory advanced care practitioners run clinics for COPD and asthma patients.
Our oxygen specialist team support patients with long term oxygen assessments, provision and ongoing care.
Our clinics are held at both Warwick Hospital and Stratford Hospital.
