The Warwickshire Preschool Autism Service is a specialist service consisting of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team responsible for the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It works closely with education and other support services in order to support the child to reach their full potential.
We are commissioned to provide assessments for young people who are registered to a GP in Warwickshire. We accept referrals for children aged 2 up to the 31st March of their preschool year.
Referrals are accepted from any professional working with the child, this is often a Health Visitor, childcare provider, GP or paediatrician. We are not able to accept self-referrals from parents/ guardians. All referrals must have consent from parents/guardians.
Exclusions to the referral criteria:
Children attending a Warwickshire pre- school but not registered with a Warwickshire GP.
Children who are due to start school in September must be referred before 31st March of the year the child is due to start school.
